After KEEP, before the CRM
The checks that turn an approved account into accountable sales work.
A reviewed account still needs a careful handoff. Before creating records, check what is already in the CRM and whether anyone is already working the relationship.
Look for existing companies, contacts, open deals, ownership, and prior tasks. Duplicate tasks do more than clutter a queue. They can put two reps into the same conversation without either knowing. Match the account and the buying moment before creating anything new.
Keep approval and spending distinct. A rep deciding that an account is worth pursuing does not automatically approve every paid data purchase. Agree the enrichment policy in advance, including who can approve a paid batch and which information is necessary.
Use verified contact information. Public evidence about a company does not establish a person's email address. Keep contact candidates separate until there is an adequate source. If a contact cannot be verified, make that limitation visible rather than filling the gap with a guess.
Give each task enough context to stand on its own. Include the source, why the account matters, the relevant timing, the buying moment, and the intended next step. A drafted email should be editable by the rep who will send it.
Make the handoff recoverable. Record which actions succeeded and which were blocked. If a later step fails, a retry should continue safely without recreating the work that already completed.
Finally, keep a clear distinction between preparing outreach and sending it. Signal Ledger's core workflow prepares approved sales work. The rep remains responsible for the actual conversation.
